Feel the pride, perseverance and gratitude of the Mexican people when we come together for a trip only EO can offer. There are many reasons these communities are so unique. They celebrate with vibrant festivals, honor the living and the dead, fight passionately and spread color and kindness everywhere they go. Mexico is experiencing a cultural resurgence as the younger generations are reviving the indigenous traditions, seen as exotic and romantic.
You will spend your days exploring the rich history and culture in Oaxaca during the week-long celebration of Day of the Dead. Oaxaca is an ancient city with modern touches of foodie-focused restaurants, cocktail bars and chic hotels scattered across the city. Next, you will visit Mérida and marvel at some of the best ruins and cenotes in the world. We will visit rural villagers, learn about their cooking style and dance to local traditional choreography before a candlelight dinner at one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Chichén Itzá.
On the final day, we planned a special treat. Attendees will be joined by local EOers in a final social for an epic Day of the Dead party that doubles as the opening night of LACademy.
